As part of my weekly target regime, I'm only meant to drink alcohol once a week, and my target week is Monday-Sunday. So I should stay dry until Monday. We'll see.

In fact, I should stay dry longer because next week Norwich have a home game next Friday so I will inevitably be going to the pub before the match, so my one day of alcohol next week should be that day. If it is, that'll be an 8 day dry spell which I haven't achieved for a good while.

Having a few imperial stouts right now while I edit video and wait for the start of the IndyCar race.

I'm having a generous Scotch. I'm still trying to stick to my one alcohol day a week, but my weekly target chart starts on a Monday, so obviously I'm only on day 2 and have broken it. It's a stress-fuelled drink this evening, I've got the post-holiday blues and work has been a real ballache today and yesterday and we've got a new starter joining us tomorrow and I've had to juggle prepping for that with my usual day-to-day stuff.

Also, I normally only work four day weeks, with Wednesday being my day off, but this week and at least next week I'll be doing five day weeks so I'm a bit grumpy. The kids (well, two of them) were a bit of a pain in the arse this evening too and I exchanged a couple of short words with the missus, so the whisky called out from the cupboard a lot louder than most nights!

It's a Balblair 12 year scotch, 46% ABV so need to be a bit careful.

I'm back on my old favorite again today - Founders Brewing Company's "Breakfast Stout," a 8.3% ABV "Double Chocolate, Coffee, Oatmeal Stout."
