I wish they would do a prequel movie taking place immediately before (and during) The Phantom Menace that uses some of the story from Darth Plagueis novel (though I don't actually want it to be merely an adaptation of that book.) I never got into the expanded universe very much, but I love how the novel dovetailed with Phantom Menace in the final chapters so there were events happening concurrently with the film.
On a similar note, there was a time (prior to Disney) when I thought it would be cool to get a prequel-prequel trilogy that went back another generation. If Lucas were in charge I could even imaging him renumbering the films. The Phantom Menace would become Episode 4.
I think that if this "Rey movie" that's supposed happen actually does get made, by the time it hits theaters, or perhaps shortly after, it will be renamed "Episode 10" and ultimately be the beginning of a 4th trilogy. Disney keeps trying to break away from the past by getting rid of the opening crawls, ending the Skywalkers story and doing unnumbered spin off films... but eventually they'll relent and go back to the old ways.
