I grew up out in the countryside. Our lawn was huge... like 3 acres. I learned to mow on a tractor from an early age. I moved into town like 19 years ago at this point. Here it just takes a push-mower. Tiny front yard out by the street, and larger rectangular yard in the back surrounded by fences and neighbors on 3 sides. Maybe a 15 or 20 minute job not counting trimming the weeds around the edges.

Yeah, we're in the city now and our garden is pretty small. It's long, maybe 80-90 feet, but it's narrow and the width decreases to just the width of the shed at the end of the garden. We also have a 6 foot fence between us and three different neighbouring gardens. We have two tiny sections of lawn at the front, you can mow that in 5 minutes flat. Most of the outside of the front of my house is a shingle drive with space for two cars and a pathway between the drive and the door and between the door and straight forward to the road.

I just scraped over 50km for April which is disappointing. However, I go on holiday on 22nd May, I'm going to try and run every day up until then, and will take my running shoes on holiday with me.

The only slight issue is I have to go to a conference for two nights. Not sure I will get a chance to run, although there is nothing stopping me taking my running shoes and just doing a quick lap of the hotel on each morning I'm there I guess. I'll need to, as it'll be all cooked breakfasts and eating in restaurants and alcohol.

I have been walking a lot more. I have managed to drop a few pounds.

I've been rubbish lately. Still managing to do one decent run a week, between 4 and 7km, but no more than that.

I need to motivate myself to start doing Yoga again. A few years ago I lost all motivation but starting to feel better again.

I ran 14.4km yesterday, I'm pretty sure it's the longest distance I've ever ran. If I'm run longer then I've forgotten all about it so it would have been way back when I was a teenager.
