I was playing GTA V the other week and listening to some of the satirical radio commentary. They parodied right-wing politicians; 10 years ago it was funny, now it's real life.

On the subject of GTA V, I just watched the trailer for GTA VI. Looks impressive.

If I play computer games it tends to be old school ones from my youth. Though I will play FIFA with my son every now and again.

However, my exception is the Grand Theft Auto series, I buy them within the first month or two of them coming out and will play them.

Gaming is one of those thing that has the protentional to become a blackhole for time and money. When they figure out how to plug my brain directly into the machine and plunge me into a virtual reality world, then count me in. For now I'll stick with books, movies, music and video creation as my ways of consuming and interacting with the creative world.

We can't be that far off. Did Red Dwarf ever make it stateside? Originally it was a book but it became a hugely popular TV sitcom this side of the Atlantic. They explored some really interesting sci-fi topics, including the whole VR thing with a came called "Better Than Life" that completely immersed you in a world of your fantasy. In the TV series it was just one episode but in the novels the whole second book was about it.

Yep, Red Dwarf has a cult following here. You can find it on several streaming services now, but I remember it being on TV many years ago.
