Yeah. There are a couple in the park where I do most of my runs. The main one is probably 40 - 50 feet high, or something like that.

I had a little holiday over New Years in the Peak District, which is a very hilly national park area of England. There were some impressive waterfalls there.

I'm about 40 minutes from the New York Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen NY. Lots of trails there and impressive falls and rock formations carved out by glaciers retreating at the end of the last ice age.

40 minute drive?

Just back from another 5km, legs got a little bit tight as I got to 1,500m to go, which is probably my body's way of telling me to take a rest day, but I was to keep this streak going to a full week. I'm just over 22km for February so far, so ahead of the curve for a 100km month. I might just go on a very light, slow 3km run tomorrow in the hope that still allows my legs to recover so that they are in a good shape for Wednesday. I don't have any work on Wednesday and it's forecast to be dry but chilly, so I was thinking of popping in my ear buds (a Christmas present) and listening to podcasts whilst leisurely jogging and see how much ground I cover.

Forced rest yesterday in the end. I planned to run on my lunch hour but a client workshop overran so I only got a half hour lunch which wasn't enough time.

I did 7.2km this morning to make up for it. Longest I've done since a 10km event I took part in last June or July. Still above the curve for a 100km month.

nice.

I've been faltering. I'm ahead of where I was last year, or any other year in recent memory, but I've also been going through the motions, and not really feeling it.

I had a washout yesterday, it literally rained from dawn until dusk. It's been raining solidly for a couple of hours this morning but stopped in the last 5 minutes. The forecast says it's due to start up again, but I might just brave it, if I have two blank days then I'm going to start playing catchup in the mission to reach 100km in February. I'd like to get at least 4km done today as Sunday is going to be difficult to squeeze one in as well due to having to ferry the kids about. I should be able to get a 5km plus in tomorrow morning though and the weather is predicted to be lovely for the time of year.

Calling for rain here too. Hopefully I can get a few miles in first.
