Not so Grand Reopening

[Danster]

Danster buried the disgust he felt at the news that Scotch had been used as a cleaning product, and buried the urge to lick the surfaces to a similar depth.

"I hate to tell you bud, it is open."

[General Ceel]

"Open? hmmm."

*General Ceel looked around. To his surprise there were in fact several patrons already inside and seated. A wookiee leaned against the bar sipping some pink, fruity beverage the old Gungan could not identify. Across the room at one of the small tables a couple of love birds whispered sweet nothings to each other over snifters of wine. Apparently the droid had served them while the two Gungans were asleep.*

*The Gungan smiled*

"We'll old friend... we've done it! Shmi's Diner lives again...."

*General Ceel did not say it, but part of him felt sad and concerned. He knew that it would take a larger crowd than this to keep Shmi's Diner in business long term.*

[Danster]

"Open? hmmm."

Danster looked wistfully around the place. They had tweaked it, but it was still recognisable as the legendary location that people from around the galaxy used to frequent. Inebriated by too much Scotch, he put an arm around his old friend.

"I don't know why people wouldn't come back here. I've been out to the far corners of the galaxy and beyond but still find myself drawn back. I can't help it. And it's certainly not just for the Scotch!"

[General Ceel]

*In total agreement, General Ceel laughed his trademark loud, deep laugh.*

"They'll be back...."

[Danster]

"Maybe we should run a happy hour?"

[General Ceel]

"...or maybe every hour should be happy hour," suggested Ceel, before suddenly realizing that it would surely break them financially.

[Danster]

"We might need to water down the scotch to make that viable. Obviously we'd keep a stash of undiluted bottles for personal use."

[General Ceel]

*General Ceel reached below the bar and pulled up the water hose with his left hand. With his right hand he grabbed a bottle of scotch and slapped it down on the bar.*

*Moments later he sobbed*

"Watering down the scotch... it may be good business, but part of me thinks that its the path to the darkside."

[Danster]

"Maybe we reserve the watered down stuff for when we get Sith come in?"

[General Ceel]

*General Ceel thought about it for a moment.*

"Okay, but if they catch on there will be a brawl... and we only just got this placed cleaned up."
